Meal Planning

Preparing and serving healthy balanced meals can be a challenge for many people.  Demanding work, sport, and extracurricular activities make choosing, preparing and serving nutritious, tasty meals difficult.  Changes in dietary requirements due to new diagnosis, medical restrictions or taste preferences can pose a significant challenge to meal planning and preparation.  Meal Planning services aim to provide practical tools and knowledge to address client concerns in regards to meal planning and preparation.  Meal Planning tools help people find joy in preparing and eating nutritious meals.

Supermarket visits

Purchasing food can be confusing when faced with so many choices available in most large supermarkets.  Supermarket visits help by providing valuable information about how grocery stores are laid out (and why), understanding where most nutritious foods are located and how all food is displayed.  Supermarket visits are done at supermarket where clients shop most frequently and provide a great opportunity to not only optimize the food purchased to client needs and preferences but reduce time and money spent.

Pantry Makeovers

Our pantries can be a great source of staples to prepare nutritious meals while saving time and money by minimizing store trips.  They can also be a home to various saboteurs when we try to make healthy choices.  Pantry makeovers help to identify potential pitfalls lurking in our pantries, identify healthy options and time (and money) saving strategies to make the pantry work for our health goals.

Recipe Makeovers

We all have those favorite recipes that we love to make either for the holidays, busy nights or lazy winter weekends.  Sometime we have questions about some of the ingredients used and how to make our go to recopies a little healthier.  Recipe makeovers are intended to provide more than a one time single recipe fix but rather an understanding and tools to allow you to “improve” and revise your recipes going forward.  A fun way to learn a little more about food prep and how much fun it can be when you approach it with your own creativity.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Nutrition

An opportunity to explore pregnancy and the important role nutrition has on the health of the mother and child.  If you have questions about what to eat, how much to eat, why certain foods start to “taste funny” or what does “eating for two” really mean we can help you find those answers as you enjoy this new experience.

Baby and Me Nutrition

Fitting in healthy eating and nutritious meals while caring for a baby is not easy.  Early motherhood provides many wonderful experiences and as many challenges so it’s important to understand both your and your baby’s nutritional needs.
